2nd fertility appointment

Well the date has been set for my next ferility appointment for June 23rd but possibly i wont need it as this cycles chart is triphasic (check it out!!) BUT that doesnt gaurentee that Im pregnant as I have had a triphasic chart two cycles previously & that did not end in a pregnancy. My test date is 9th May (next Tuesday) so watch this space LOL.

If I do end up needing to go to the appointment then we will be discussing the possiblility of IVF if we qualify. I had some blood test done recently in preparation of IVF and so far all looks well. I have some more blood tests to go if i get AF again.

Post Fertility Appointment

All went well, really nice Dr she has had fertility problems herself which is great that someone can emphathise with our situation. She is really impressed with my fertility charts (infact she used to do a similar thing herself). I have 2x blood tests to be done 2 days after next AF and one 7 DPO then If i havent concieved within the next 3 months (because I have such long cycles need the time to have 2 lots of tests done) will be going back for meds & endo scan. Still have to keep on plodding with the weight loss & smoking cessation. DH has to do another s/a just to check a couple of things that werent checked from the last one. Then if all else fails then we will be looking at IVF. Dr is pretty certain that it wont come to that as Im ovulating and Im in my 9th cycle which is usually how long it takes normal people to concieve to keep watching my fertility friend chart and watch this space LOL.

pregnancy week by week

The Journey Begins...

It all began in August 2004 when I became unexpectedly pregnant (but delighted all the same). Sadly a few weeks after finding out (& Paul & I getting over the shock of pending parenthood) I lost our baby "binka" (which is winnie-the-poohs imaginary friend) at 6 weeks. After alot of thought we decided that we quite liked the idea of becoming parents sooner rather than later and started our TTC (trying to concieve) journey in October 2004.

After getting married in March 2005 (the best day of our lives) I still didnt seem to be ovulating so went to my GP and in July 2005 after tests I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycycstic overies). I joined fertility friend not long after that to temp & try to get me ovulating again & TTC naturally, inconjunction with losing weight.

Today I ovulate on my own but my cycles are too long for me to be able to concieve naturally so on March 22nd I will be going for a Fertility Appointment at Fertility Plus in Greenlane. Hopefully there I will get some answers to my questions & hopefully come away with a perscription for Clmoid which will get the ball rolling in the right direction (& we may even end up with twins as that is one of the side effects of taking such medication)
